FARCHANT TRIP
WALDERLEBNISPFAD / KUHFLUCHT WASSERFÄLLE / WARM OUTDOOR POOL
Not far from us, one of the most beautiful tours for active holidaymakers and families with children can be found. The neighboring Farchant can be easily reached by bus, the Werdenfelser Bahn or by bike. The 3 km long forest adventure trail offers 16 varied stations and great views of the Garmisch mountains. A longer stop can be taken at the idyllic Kneipp-place on the riverbed, where children can play and adults may rest their feet in cool water. The path is well suited for baby carriage and is also walkable in winter. Afterwards, it moderately goes up to the impressive Kuhflucht-Waterfalls, which are among the highest ones in Germany. You can end the day at the Farchanter warm outdoor pool, the sports restaurant Föhrenheide or pizzeria “Da Nico“.
PARTENKIRCHEN TRIP
CORNER HUT / TANNENHÜTTE / FAUKENSCHLUCHT
By free local bus you drive to the sunny side – to our much appreciated “Allwanderberg” Wank, where this tour starts. Past the pilgrimage church of St. Anton, climbing forest and Eckenhütte you make your way to the spectacular suspension bridge over the Faukenschlucht. There, you walk for 55 meters while looking down the 40 meter deep gorge. Thereafter, the Tannenhütte welcomes you for a short break, before you either go further up or back down into the valley.
GRAINAU TRIP
EIBSEE / RESERL / EIBSEE-ALM
Little Canada, Caribbean flair and the impressive Zugspitzgipfel up ahead. A trip to the Eibsee is a must do. The trip starts right from our front door. In a few minutes you reach the Zugspitze station Garmisch by foot and go by the cog railway towards Eibsee – say goodbye to traffic jams and searching for parking lots! You may start the lake round trip by going right, because the view of the mountain scenery is most impressive there. And if you want to shorten the 7.5 km long route, you can board the electric boat „Reserl“ to the Seespitz stop half-way. Then, the path leads to Eibsee Alm, which is a bit higher up and offers one of the best playgrounds – and a separate playroom in case of bad weather. You still got time and energy left? Then, you can visit the “legendary mountain forest” adventure trail in Grainau.

GARMISCH TRIP
BURGRUINE WERDENFELS / PFLEGERSEE / SCHMÖLZERSEE
You wonder where the Werdenfelser Land got its name from? You will find out on this easy and short hike. If you are in for a lengthy walking tour, you may start directly at the hotel; otherwise, the parking lot at the Pflegersee is also a perfect starting point for this tour. Water, forest and a “real knight’s castle” to explore – it could not get any better! Those of you thirsty for knowledge will especially enjoy the accompanying information boards. You also should not miss the tasty Kaiserschmarrn at the neighboring Werdenfelser Hütte. Back at Pflegersee you will find a mountain inn and a very charming public swimming pool. Basically, this hike is recommended all year round, while the colorful forest in spring and autumn is particularly worth seeing
MITTENWALD TRIP
BAREFOOT PATH / LAUTERSEE / GEISTERKLAMM
Our next tip leads you to the neighboring Karwendelgebirge. We would like to mention the walking tours to Lauter and Ferchensee, where you will find several refreshing and swimming opportunities along the way. From here, you can also easily find the barefoot path. You may start this trip at the Kranzberg with optional gondola ride or you may combine it with a tour leading to several lakes. And then? How about some iced coffee at Eiscafé Costa in Mittenwald?
AHORNBODEN TRIP
GROßER AHORNBODEN / ENG ALM / KARWENDEL
Natural and idyllic experience straight from a movie and ultimate hiking tour in autumn. Experience approximately 2,000 maple trees unfold their beauty and enjoy a colorful contrast in front of gray rocks. In the largest nature park in Austria, you can choose between many hiking trails or visit the romantic alpine village Eng. Please note that getting there from Garmisch-Partenkirchen takes about one hour by car and leads via toll roads.
