SKI VACATION IN GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN
Easily accessible from our hotel, the Garmisch Classic Area awaits skiers of all ages. Next to the local mountain top station you will find the Kinderland with its magic carpet. Ambitious skiers are challenged by the neighboring BMW xDrive Cup course – stop-time and movie-download of your run included.
SLEEDING „AM LEITLE“
In winter, „Am Leitle“ is the meeting place for children and families. Directly in the village, located below the Kramerplateau-Path, with a flat exit area – perfectly suited for playing and building snowmen. Please note that parking is limited.
ICE SKATING AT THE MOHRENPLATZ
This small open space in the center of Garmisch opens around Christmas time. Fun for children and adults alike. There are rental options on site and small shops offering with mulled wine and other delicacies nearby.
CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING IN GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN
Directly in the village you may hop into sporty skating or enjoyable cross-country skiing and pull your laps from the ski stadium to Hammersbach. Many other variants can also be found in the nearby Krün or in the Austrian Zugspitz Arena, all of which can be easily reached by bus and train.
SKIING IN THE ZUGSPITZ-ARENA
In the Zugspitz Arena you can directly park at the ski lift and find a magic carpet, children’s land, child- safe chairlift and restaurants all in one spot. Gentle, broad slopes and sunshine in abundance. Anyone with small children and looking for a special family experience will certainly also be happy at the Ehrwalder Wettersteinbahnen.
NATURAL SLEDDING SLOPE AT THE GRASBERG
A longer and varied sledding slope, which also ends in the village. By foot you walk up a nice hiking trail all the way to the St. Martinshütte to eventually sled down the hill. Start and ending point is the sledding slope “Am Leitle” or the signposted Bayernhalle.
NATURAL ICE SKATING RINK IN GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN
During a tough winter, you can walk with your own ice skates on the Riesser or Pflegers Lake in front of a breathtaking mountain scenery. Please note, for your own safety, information provided on site or online.
SKI TOURS IN GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN
No insider tip, but due to the nightly experience and the popular refreshment option at Drehmöser 9 definitely worth mentioning: every Tuesday and Thursday a ski touring evening on the local mountain takes place – with predetermined ascent routes, get-together and up-to-date information on the web.

NIGHT SLEDDING EHRWALDER ALM
In the neighboring Ehrwalder ski area a sledding evening with gondola operation takes place with open huts and live music every Tuesday and Friday (when right snow conditions are given). Your descent down the mountain begins at the mountain station Ehrwalder Alm. At the valley station you can rent sleds and purchase special tickets, too.
